6. Links to websites of other companies and third-party applications
Links to social networks
We can provide you with links to enable you to interact with other websites into which you are logged (e.g. LinkedIn and other social media sites) or to allow you to join communities on those sites, or we can integrate third-party applications that allow you to log in, publish content or join communities from our websites.
In addition, we can provide you with general links to websites of other providers.
MFC cannot be held responsible for the privacy policies or content of these other websites.
Use of Google Maps
This website uses the Google Maps API, a map service of Google Inc (“Google”), to display an interactive map. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. By using Google Maps, information about your use of this website (including your IP address) can be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there.
Where appropriate, Google will transfer the information obtained by Analytics & Maps to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.
Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Nevertheless, it might be technically possible for Google to identify at least individual users on the basis of the data received. The possibility exists that personal data and personality profiles of users of the Google website could be processed for other purposes over which we have no influence and which will be unable to influence. This and the fact that data is transmitted to the United States is problematic for data protection reasons.
You can find out more about how user data is treated by reading Google’s privacy statement:https://www.google.lu/intl/en/policies/privacy/.
7. Analysis Tools and Advertising
Our website uses the Twitter button of twitter.com which is operated by Twitter Inc, 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107 (“Twitter”). When you access a website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Twitter’s servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly by Twitter to your browser and integrated into the website. By integrating the plugins, Twitter receives the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website even if you do not have a Twitter account or are not currently logged into Twitter. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Twitter server in the USA and stored there.
If you are logged into Twitter, Twitter can directly assign your visit to our website to your Twitter account. If you do not want Twitter to assign the data collected via our website to your Twitter account, you must log out of Twitter before visiting our website. If you interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the “Tweet” button or making a comment, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Twitter server and stored there. The information is also published on Twitter and displayed to your followers. The purpose and scope of the data collection and further processing and use of data by Twitter, as well as your rights and privacy setting possibilities, can be found in the privacy statement of Twitter (http://twitter.com/privacy).
